Backstreet Boys return with new single and video

They recently celebrated a staggering 25 years in the music industry.

And Backstreet Boys certainly have released their first single and music video, called Don't Go Breaking My Heart, on Thursday - their first musical offering in five years.

The boyband is made up of Nick Carter, 38, Kevin Richardson, 46, Howie Dorough, 44, Brian Littrell, 43, and AJ McLean, 40.

Band mate Kevin shared his elation over the first single from their forthcoming untitled album, saying in a statement to Billboard that he 'geeked' out over the song.

'The minute we heard this song we knew it was special' the Kentucky native shared. 'I geeked out over the piano and synths.

'Great verse, hook and melodies. Just makes you wanna listen over and over again.'

Dedicated fans were just as overjoyed at the new track and took to Twitter to share their delight and nostalgia at the new tune.

The boyband have been taking Las Vegas by storm for their residency at Planet Hollywood Resort And Casino - named after one of their biggest hit Larger Than Life.

Founded in 1993, the baby-faced group rose to fame with a slew of hits including Everybody (Backstreet's Back) and I Want It That Way, the success of which made the megaband a household name.

The Backstreet Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best selling boy bands of all time.
