The photo dates back eight years when the couple embarked on a whirlwind three-month romance.
Ms Chenery has described it as a "crazy" time together where the young couple partied through the night and spent their days biking around the city.
One of those who responded immediately was the current bachelor.
"Hold on a sec, I don't remember giving out any roses then!!?" posted Mr Mauger who has a facebook page under the pseudonym Jordy Pordy Pudding Pie.
Other fans have not missed an opportunity to add their voice.

"Hahahaha bet she's on Naz's hit list, posted Madii Wylie referring to revelations by bachelorette Naz Khanjani to systematically remove contestants from the show.
It has some even thinking the show's most scheming contestant could be a match made in heaven.
"Maybe naz is the one for him. Hahaha. I would not want to be the girl Jordan picks and have Chrystal as his ex," wrote Morgene Elsworth.
The first season of the romance reality television show, where a man takes selected female contestants on extravagant single and group dates to find a partner, saw bachelor Art Green pair up with Matilda Rice. The couple are still together.
