The cast of ladies vying for Nick Cummins' affections on this season of The Bachelor have been revealed — and there's a surprising coincidence among the cast.
The 25-strong group contains two women who — as Twitter user Harrison Cartwright was quick to point out — together bear a verystriking resemblance to Gilmore Girls' mother-daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.

That's 30-year-old radiographer Brittany on the left and 24-year-old dance teacher Emily on the right. You've got to admit, viewed together their resemblance to the fast-talking pair from Stars Hollow is pretty uncanny:

As for the rest of the group — here they are below, ranging in age from 23 and 34:

While one contestant, 23-year-old Brooke, describes herself as a "proud Indigenous woman" from WA, the otherwise whiteness of the cast has already been questioned by some on social media (as happened with last year's cast):
They’re all white and Caucasian women Where are the women from our diverse cultural backgrounds, and NT and Tasmania? White privilege again 😡 WTF
And this year's choice of Bachelor, Nick 'Honey Badger' Cummins, has been a controversial choice for some, with a lukewarm reaction from some female viewers — but not Whimn.com.au writer Stefanie Jackson, who has penned an impassioned defence of the quirky sports star.

"I'm really looking forward to throwing everything at this opportunity to finding the one. The past 10 or so years has been on the road playing rugby or working on my projects, so I'm very excited to be part of a show that is centred around love and good times," Cummins said in a statement provided by Ten.
The Bachelor premieres Tuesday August 21, 8.30pm on Bravo.
