Axed Bachelor NZ contestant Lisa still looking for love

Lisa has been eliminated from The Bachelor New Zealand, and says she and Art Green didn't connect.

The claws came out on last night's episode of The Bachelor, with Chrystal throwing shade at Wild Card entrant Lisa.

"You're only still here because you're the wildcard," she said cuttingly, before adding: "You need all the help you can get" when Lisa went to chat to the bachelor.

It was harsh but seemingly true, as just moments later (thanks to the magic of editing) the bachelor rejected the competition winner.

We caught up with Lisa as she exited the Bachelor mansion.

NZ Herald: Are you sad to have left The Bachelor?

Lisa: I had got to the stage that I realised there was no connection between Art and myself, but I was gutted to leave the girls.

Did you enter the show expecting to find 'the one'?

Definitely came into the show open to finding the one and put myself out there to do so.

Is Art Green as nice as he seems?

He's totally genuine and such a funny guy.

How did all the girls get along when the cameras weren't around? Was there any cattiness?

I got on with heaps of the girls and made some great mates, there are moments of pressure that escalated emotions but that was to be expected.

Did anything happen on the show that you wish hadn't been cut for TV?

There was a "rap-off" between some of the girls after Hayley's rap - hilarious!

Or did anything make it to air that you wish hadn't?

I loved all the footage of me - it showed me exactly as I am.

What's the best piece of behind-the-scenes goss you can give us?

Us girls loved to create dance routines which we would crank out before the cocktail party to relax.

Have you found love since your time on The Bachelor?

No I haven't YET, definitely a lot more open to it happening now that my confidence has grown after the show.
