Ashlee Simpson and her husband Pete Wentz welcomed their first child together, son Bronx Mowgli, into the world last week, a representative for the couple has confirmed.
The 24-year-old singer - who married Pete, 29, in May - gave birth to 7lb 11oz son Bronx Mowgli on Thursday
at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.
The spokesperson said: "Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes."
Fall Out Boy rocker Pete recently revealed he had been getting parenting advice from Joel Madden, who has a nine-month-old daughter Harlow with his partner Nicole Richie.
He said: "Joel gives me advice. It has been really awesome for me to go to another person my age."
Earlier last week, Ashlee's older sister Jessica said the Little Miss Obsessive singer was trying everything to induce labour.
Jessica explained: "Ashlee has been trying different foot massages and stuff. I don't know. I think she's really just jumping around trying everything right now."
