Ariana Grande avoids charges for licking doughnuts

Ariana Grande appears to have dodged a legal bullet following last week's doughnut-licking scandal.

The owner of the California bakery where the singer was filmed licking doughnuts has opted not to press charges, reports TMZ.com.

Grande hit headlines after she was caught on surveillance cameras licking a doughnut at Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore.

The doughnuts were later sold to customers by unsuspecting store workers.

The American pop star has since apologised for the incident, but she was reportedly facing a police investigation for criminal mischief.

However, bakery owner Joe Marin has decided not to move forward with charges and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department has closed the case, according to TMZ.
