Antonia Prebble offered 'badly written soft porn' script

New Zealand actress Antonia Prebble has revealed she was hit on several times and sent a seedy script while auditioning in Los Angeles.

The Outrageous Fortune and The Blue Rose star was propositioned by multiple people, she told Woman's Day.

Her admirers included an aspiring filmmaker who told her how beautiful she was before sending her a script loaded with nudity and sex scenes.

"It's so typical LA," the actress says. "I don't know if badly written soft porn is the introduction I want into Hollywood."

Antonia Prebble stars as Rita West alongside David de Lautour in Westside.

Prebble is not looking for love, given she is currently dating 28-year-old filmmaker Gareth Williams.

He doesn't mind the attention she has been getting as the men have been "50 to 60 years old".

"Anyway, she ended up getting free printing out of the creepy printing man," Williams added, referring to a print shop owner who hugged and asked Prebble out to lunch.

"That stuff is expensive, so I tell her, 'Go for gold, babe!'"

The couple has maintained their relationship despite Prebble traveling the world while Williams stays in New Zealand. The two have been able to spend time together recently while she has been promoting Westside.

Prebble says she will continue to look outside of New Zealand for roles, but it won't impact on her relationship.

"I love working in New Zealand, especially on such a fantastic show, but I'm still committed to establishing a career overseas ... and Gareth is really encouraging of that."

Prebble currently plays Rita West in Westside, which concludes on Sunday.
