American R&B/neo-soul singer-songwriter Jhené Aiko will perform a one-off show in New Zealand this year.

Aiko, an American Grammy nominee, is bringing her TRIP tour down under this September.

Presented by Tauranga's Pato Entertainment and The Hour Group, Aiko will perform an all-ages show at the Logan Campbell Centre in Auckland on Thursday, September 20.

Aiko, known for her sultry r&b vibes and smooth voice, will be joined by New Zealand soul singer Ladi6.

The international star's second full-length album Trip is the long-awaited follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2014 debut LP, Souled Out.

Jade from Pato Entertainment said they were "pumped to host Jhene for her Trip Tour".

"She has worked alongside some of the biggest, current artists topping the charts right now and has had huge success with her albums.

"We are always grateful to bring such talent to New Zealand's shores."

After watching Aiko's performance at Coachella this year, Jade is excited for audiences to be able to experience her stage presence.

"We were lucky enough to see her perform alongside various artists at Coachella this year and she has a beautiful presence on stage and a voice to match so we can guarantee her live show will be just that or better, beautiful."

Aiko already had more than a decade of experience before releasing Sail Out in 2013, having been featured on singles, albums, and mixtapes by A-listers Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Big Sean, Logic, J. Cole, Drake and many more.
