Painting little pictures with the gentle strokes of her calm, caramel vocals, layered over acoustic guitar and the odd plucked cello, her songs rise and fall like a lapping tide as she strolls
past the Adelphi Apartments in Wellington, recalls an old lady she once knew, ponders browned newspaper clippings about a suicidal Brazilian priest wearing polypropylene and finishes gazing out into the cold wintry air in the beautifully melancholy Bird in the Thyme.
