Album review: Thurston Moore, Demolished Thoughts

This is the Sonic Youth guitarist's third solo album and there's not a screeching riff in earshot. This collection of lilting, sweet serenades, with moments of dissonance (like on sprawling ditty Orchard Street and the dark baroque of Mina Loy) was produced by Beck and includes harp and violin over Moore's acoustic plucks, strums and other more adventurous acoustic guitar action.
