Kesha commented on the case Wednesday, saying in a letter to fans; "All I ever wanted was to be able to make music without being afraid, scared, or abused. This case has never been about a renegotiation of my record contract - it was never about getting a bigger, or a better deal.
"This is about being free from my abuser. I would be willing to work with Sony if they do the right thing and break all ties that bind me to my abuser."
This very public support from Adele might make Sony rethink their position, especially if they want to keep their biggest star.
Forbes reported last year that she had only signed to do three albums with Columbia Records, meaning that she has fulfilled her contract with the release of 25.

Her sales are not only vital to that company's entertainment division, but also Sony Corporation, who saw a huge surge in their stock prices last month month thanks to the release of their quarterly earnings report which was greatly helped by the release of 25.
That album was cited as a big part of Sony's $3.3billion (US) gain in market value.
25 has sold close to 10million copies in the United States and over 25million worldwide while Adele's previous album 21 has sold over 15million copies in the US and over 30million worldwide.
