Actor takes Easter break in NZ

Scottish actor John Hannah has been spotted holidaying in Napier, much to the delight of fans, some brave enough to stop and talk and others happy to admire from a distance.

The 46-year-old, known for Four Weddings and Funeral, the Rebus series, Sliding Doors and The Mummy and its sequels, has been seen wining and dining with his family.

Hannah, actress wife Joanna Roth and 5-year-old twins Gabriel and Astrid were noticed by fan Marianne Gannaway in a cafe on Saturday.

"I was so sure it was John Hannah so on a pretend trip to the loo, I nervously asked him if he was indeed John Hannah," Ms Gannaway posted on a fan website.

"He only had to speak in that beautiful accent and voice to confirm my suspicions."

The family were also seen sitting down to an Easter Sunday dinner at a Napier waterfront restaurant last night.
