Game of Thrones fans are in a state of confusion after Daenerys did something the series author said she couldn't.
George R.R. Martin, who wrote A Song of Ice and Fire on which the Game of Thrones series is based, has explicitly told fans before that Targaryens are not immune
to fire.

"The birth of Dany's dragons was unique, magical, wondrous, a miracle. She is called The Unburnt because she walked into the flames and lived. But her brother sure as hell wasn't immune to that molten gold," Martin said.
