5 Seconds of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford burnt his face during a pyrotechnic mishap over the weekend, leaving New Zealand fans wondering whether the pop group will make it here for their Thursday night show.
The band had been playing at Wembley Arena when the 19-year-old walked too close to
on-stage flamethrowers and set part of his hair on fire.
He was filmed quickly putting a towel to his smoke-engulfed head, but was left with burns to his face and the concert was cut short.
Promoters say there the band will make it here for their scheduled performance at Vector Arena on Thursday night.
Later Clifford tweeted a picture of his face in bandages, saying he was "doing okay".
