As Shortland Street turns 25, New Zealand on Screen opens the archives to bring us 25 years of trivia.
As ambulance officer Rangi Heremaia, Blair Strang has been central to some of Shortland Street's most unforgettable storylines. His six-year stint on the series featured a long-running relationship with his sister (the pair were later revealed not to be related), and saw him survive a stabbing, two motor accidents andtemporary paralysis, before being murdered by the husband of his mistress.
Here he speaks about quitting law school for a three-month contract on the show, and dealing with public reaction to his character's exploits.
