Car Seat Headrest's Will Toledo has slammed Netflix's controversial drama 13 Reasons Why despite the fact his band featured on the show's soundtrack.
13 Reasons Why has come under fire from mental health professionals around the world concerned with the show's hopeless and graphic depiction of a young girl's suicide.
Now, Toledo, who contributed the song Oh! Starving to the show has taken to Twitter to blast the show too.
"Writers: Please don't tell kids how to turn their miserable and hopeless lives into a thrilling and cathartic suicide mission. Kids: This is not a narrative you need to subscribe to."
Just last week, the show prompted New Zealand's Censor's Office to create a whole new and unique classification rating.
After reviewing the series, which has been available for streaming on Netflix for almost a month now, the NZ Office of Film and Literature Classification moved to give the drama the brand new RP18 classification.
They also took the rare step of ordering Netflix to display a clear warning before streaming each episode.
