This is so refreshing and summery. You could use blueberries or raspberries instead to make your own summer milkshake combinations, to enjoy sipping in the afternoon sun.
Ingredients
1 cup | Milk, cashew, or other milk of choice |
1 | Banana, large frozen, or 2 small (Main) |
¾ cup | Water |
1 pinch | Vanilla |
1 Tbsp | Lemon juice |
½ cup | Ice |
2 Tbsp | Honey, agave, or maple syrup (add more sweetener to taste) |
1 cup | Strawberries, fresh or frozen (Main) |
Directions
- Blend all the ingredients except the strawberries in a high speed blender until smooth - be careful not to leave it blending too long or it will start to warm up.
- Pour half the mix into 2 milkshake cups.
- Add the strawberries to the remaining mix in the blender, and blend until incorporated (mix will be thick and icy – add more ice if it's not).
- Pour on top of the banana shake already in the glass for a two-tone milkshake.
Optional extra: add 1/6 tsp sunflower lecithin to help emulsify.
