For the meat
500 g | Mince, lean (Main) |
500 g | Sausage meat (Main) |
1 cup | Breadcrumbs |
1 | Onion, chopped well |
1 | Egg |
2 | Garlic cloves, crushed or chopped |
½ cup | Milk |
½ cup | Water |
1 dessert spoon | Curry powder, a level one |
½ tsp | Mixed herbs |
For the sauce
½ cup | Water |
½ cup | Tomato sauce |
¼ cup | Worcestershire sauce |
1 tsp | Instant coffee |
2 Tbsp | Vinegar |
2 Tbsp | Lemon juice |
¼ cup | Brown sugar |

Directions
- For the meat mixture, combine all ingredients well with clean hands. Season with salt and pepper. Place in crockpot which has been sprayed with oil.
- Mix sauce ingredients well and pour over meat.
- Cook in crockpot on low all day, at least 8 hours or longer.
