Ingredients
| 5 Tbsp | Short grain rice (Main) |
| 1 Tbsp | Sugar |
| 1 pinch | Saffron threads, soaked in the warm milk |
| 2 tsp | Milk, to soak the saffron, warmed |
| 3 | Cardamom pods, bruised |
| 2 cups | Whole milk |
| 1 | Cinnamon stick |
| 1 tsp | Pure vanilla extract |
| ½ cup | Cream |
| 2 tsp | Butter |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 150C.
- Put the rice, sugar, saffron, vanilla, cinnamon stick and cardamom pods in the bottom of an ovenproof dish.
- Mix together the milk and cream, then pour over.
- Dot with butter and bake for two hours, stirring a few times in the first hour.
