This tastes delicious with wholesome ingredients and so simple to make. Sliced and frozen in smaller portions it is always on hand.
Ingredients
| 2 ½ cups | Self raising flour |
| 2 ½ cups | Bran flakes (Main) |
| ¾ cup | Walnuts, chopped |
| ½ cup | Dried apricots, chopped |
| ¼ tsp | Baking soda |
| ¾ cup | Brown sugar |
| 2 Tbsp | Golden syrup, warmed |
| ¾ cup | Sultanas |
| ½ cup | Dates, chopped |
| 2 ½ cups | Milk, cold |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 160c. Grease and line large loaf tin 24 cm x 12 cm or 1 medium and 1 smaller tin
- Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into prepared tin and bake for about an hour 20 min for large and less for smaller tins or until skewer comes out clean.
