Easy venison meatballs

My 5 year old son is very fussy and does not like eating red meat, but he will eat meatballs.

Ingredients

500 gVenison mince (Main)
1 smallOnion, diced finely
1Large egg
1 to tasteSalt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tspDried basil, rubbed

Sauce

1 tinTomato puree
1 canChopped tomatoes
1 pinchBlack pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 180C. In large bowl, mix together Venison meat, diced onion, large egg, sweet basil, salt and pepper.
  2. Roll into even sized balls and place in oven roasting dish lined with baking paper.
  3. Cook meatballs until cooked through.
  4. When meatballs cooked, In pot add tomato puree and chopped tomatoes and pepper to taste and cooked meatballs. Simmer until heated through.
  5. Serve with cooked spaghetti and vegetables of choice.
