For the cranberry sugar syrup (makes 8 cocktails)

| 1 cup | White sugar |
| 1 cup | Water |
For the cranberry gin and tonic (makes 1)
| 1 handful | Ice |
| 30 ml | Gin (Main) |
| 30 ml | Cranberry sugar syrup (Main) |
| ½ | Limes, juiced, plus a slice to garnish |
| 1 serving | Tonic water |
| 3 | Cranberries, to garnish |
