Love this sauce because of the great taste and versatility
Ingredients
¼ cup | Sugar |
¼ tsp | Ground cinnamon |
¼ tsp | Ground nutmeg |
¼ tsp | Corn starch |
⅔ cup | Water |
1 pinch | Salt |
450 g | Blueberries (Main) |
1 tsp | Lemon zest |
Directions
- Place sugar, spices and salt in a heavy saucepan. Stir in cornflour dissolved in 1T of the water. Add the remaining water, and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and add the blueberries. Cook about 20 minutes over moderate heat or until thickened. Add the lemon zest. Serve warm or cold over sweet or savoury dishes. This is so delicious!
