Slow baking in the oven will make a cheaper cut of meat tender and juicy. Perfect for a mid-winter meal.
|600 g||Blade steaks (Main)|
|1 to taste||Salt & freshly ground pepper|
|1 cup||Beef stock|
|1 tsp||Olive oil|
|1 tsp||Curry powder|

- Heat oven to 170 degC.
- Trim meat of excess fat. Cut steak into large portions, season with salt and pepper and arrange in a single layer in an oven dish.
- Coarsely grate the apple. Combine grated apple and sliced onion and scatter on top of steak.
- Combine all of the remaining ingredients and pour over steak. Bake for 1½ hours until the meat is tender.
- Top up with a little extra beef stock to stop the meat from drying out, if necessary.
