Fresh and seasonal advice from the team at New World.
FRESH IN: The feijoa season has started, excellent news for most Kiwis and a source of bafflement for many visitors to the country who haven’t been exposed to the charms of the pineapple guava before. Available from March to June, they are high in antioxidants (such as flavonoids and glycosides), minerals (calcium, phosphrous, potassium and magnesium) and a great source of vitamin C and fibre.
