Kids get to have fun and cook their own lunch at three classes at the Auckland Seafood School in Freemans Bay. Held on Wednesday April 18, Thursday 19 and Monday 23, 10am-1pm. Wednesday's menu is popcorn shrimp cones with citrus mayo plus sesame chicken kebabs with herbed rice. Sounds yum

Kidz Kitchen by Main Course in Beaumont St, Auckland, is running a variety of classes. There's Simple Meals (think burgers or wraps with wedges plus dessert, although menus vary according to the age of attendees), Fasta Pasta and Cooking to Impress (a three-course meal). Devonport's Soul Sprite Kitchen has a range of classes that include cooking and other fun activities, from Pizza Party (making pizza, pasta and gelato from scratch) to Chocolate Wizard (chocolate workshop plus magic show and make your own Harry Potter potion and wand).
