Nadia Lim’s nutrition quick fix
Your calorie intake appears to be quite low for the amount of physical activity you do.
On average, a 30-year-old male needs about 2500 calories per day. If you find yourself low in energy quite often, consider increasing the amount of healthy low glycaemic index (slow-releasing energy) carbohydrates you eat throughout the day; try quinoa, bulghur wheat, buckwheat, kumara, beans, lentils, chickpeas etc.
It’s important to keep your glycogen stores (your liver glucose energy stores) topped up when you are doing a lot of physical exercise. Other than that, you eat well and have a good fruit and vegetable intake.
Red Leap Theatre is taking place at the Maidment Theatre from for a limited season. Sea explores one of the last remaining mysteries of the civilized world — our "blue heart", which the planet is entirely dependent on, yet is sometimes a life source that is neglected; be it overfishing, pollution or the prospect of deep-sea oil drilling. Given Red Leap's penchant for incredible feats of physicality and puppetry, Sea looks set to be another theatrical adventure akin to their previous works, Paper Sky and The Arrival.
