Emett took to Instagram on Saturday to share about his involvement with the project.
"Excited to announce that @albrownchef, @mimigilmourbuckley & I will all open concepts in @Commercial_Bay in 2019โฆ watch this space! #Commercial Bay," he wrote alongside I photo of the three chefs on the waterfront.
The MasterChef NZ judge is the founder of the Rata restaurant chain and has worked with Gordon Ramsay.
Al Brown is also MasterChef NZ judge and former co-owner of renowned Wellington restaurant Logan Brown.
Brown is the chef behind Depot Eatery and Oyster Bar, the Federal Delicatessen, and Best Ugly Bagels.
Mimi Gilmour Buckley is the co-founder of restaurant chains Mexico and Burger Burger.
Burgerburgernz also posted on Instagram with a photo of the three chefs.
"B.B. is expanding! TOASTING with our friends @albrownchef & @joshemett because we can't wait to join the @commercial_bay community in 2019," the post said.
Commercial Bay will have two huge restaurants with alfresco dining above Quay St overlooking the waterfront and 105 new shops spread across three levels.
The Herald on Sunday couldn't reach the chefs for comment.
