Thousands of Facebook users have reported issues with the social media website.
According to outage tracking site Downdetector, users worldwide have experienced problems accessing Facebook since about 9.30am, with hundreds in New Zealand reporting issues.
Some users were receiving a message saying “account temporarily unavailable” when trying toaccess the social media site.
Facebook has been down for some users since about 9.30am.
“Your account is currently unavailable due to a site issue. We expect this to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes,” the message said.
Meta’s status page says it is seeing “high disruptions” to Facebook Ads Manager, with other services not showing any issues.
The Herald has approached Meta for comment.
