The North Shore gets its turn next Friday to host one of the Government's regional small business days.
On behalf of the Ministry of Economic Development, Enterprise North Shore is offering a fully funded opportunity for local business owners and managers to pick up ideas that might help them with their
business and planning.
They also will get the chance to discuss issues with Small Business Minister John Tamihere and various government departments.
The North Shore day is one of more than 20 being hosted throughout New Zealand during March, April and May.
It brings together a half-day of free presentations and business seminars, a Business Expo and one-on-one mentoring assistance, including Business in the Community mentors.
At noon guest speaker Alastair Ferguson will open the day. He is the author of Stand Up & Shout: Kiwi Success Unplugged, a collection of interviews with New Zealanders who have achieved enviable levels of success.
His presentation will feature some of the aspects that successful people have in common. From 5.45pm there will be a question and answer session with Tamihere, followed by an informal networking function.
The Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna is the venue for the North Shore Small Business Day on Friday, March 12. See Enterprise North Shore website for more details.
Enterprise North Shore also will launch the Westpac Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards 2004 during the day.
