Science boost for small businesses

Boosting the science and technology capacity of small businesses is the aim of the newly launched R&D Jumpstart programme.

A joint initiative of government-owned technology company Industrial Research (IRL) and the Wellington Institute of Technology, it will provide SMEs the opportunity to undertake research and development projects they may have previously lacked the resources to mount. It will help to build the science and technology capability within polytechnics.
