On June 16, a seminar for businesses hosted by the Manukau City Council will address the effects of climate change on the New Zealand business community and specifically on Manukau businesses.
It will cover issues such as: carbon tax - somebody is going to pay it; fuel costs - we are
likely to feel the impacts, which have been worsened by rising oil prices; insurance companies are going to need to look at more sophisticated cover; weather affects many aspects of business in New Zealand; global markets - we are often at the mercy of trends beyond our influence.
The free seminar is open to all businesses and while priority will be given to Manukau participants, others are welcome to apply.
