Rural reports surplus

Rural Portfolio Investments Securities has reported a net surplus of $2000 for the 15 months to June 30.

In March, the company - a wholly owned subsidiary of Rural Portfolio Investments, owned by Craig Norgate (right) - reported a net profit of $11,000 for the nine months ended December 31.

RPI gained a 50.01 per cent controlling stake in rural services company Wrightson last year.
