Deputy Public Service Commissioner Heather Baggott said Chrisp understands how conservation contributes to New Zealand’s identity, wellbeing and economy.

Chrisp has also had extensive leadership experience across the public and private sectors in New Zealand and internationally.
Baggott said Chrisp has the experience and judgement to lead DoC and deliver positive outcomes for New Zealanders and our natural environment.
