Savings gone with the wind

BRITAIN: A pensioner has lost his life savings after leaving it on the roof of his car and driving off. The unnamed 68-year-old from Westcliff-on-Sea took the cash to work with him every day because he distrusted banks and feared being robbed at home.

The man said it was several hours until he realised his costly mistake. Although he found the orange plastic bag he used to carry the cash, the money was gone. He had saved £2000 ($4100) every year during his working life.
