The winery said it had to do a double take when it saw the list - "yep NUMBER FIVE" - when the wine critic posted his Top 100 2015 list from some 9000 wines tasted.
Other New Zealand wines to make the list included Neudorf Nelson Moutere Chardonnay 2014 at number 11, Te Mata Hawkes Bay Coleraine 2013 at number 48 and Trinity Hill Hawkes Bay Homage Syrah 2013 at number 69.
