Time lapse footage shows the creation of the largest new residential block in the waterfront Wynyard Quarter.
Willis Bond developed Wynyard Central, the 113-unit block on Pakenham St built by L T McGuinness and designed by Architectus. Two tower cranes are shown on the job beside the Mason Bros. building, new home to architects Warren and Mahoney.
The block was completed in June, Willis Bond said and 164 new residences will be finished in the area this year.
"Residents have now moved in to Willis Bond & Co's Wynyard Central apartment block," a spokesperson said. "To coincide with this, we have a time lapse video of the development being built.
The Wynyard Quarter is reclaimed land on the Waitematā Harbour at the western edge of the Auckland waterfront, to the north of Freemans Bay and to the west of the Viaduct Basin.
