1. Tourists
International visitor arrival data will be issued by Statistics NZ at 10.45am today. This will reveal the numbers coming here during April and the data is expected to be strong from the sector which is continuing to grow. Also out today from Statistics NZ will be linked employer-employee data for the March quarter and information on alcohol available for consumption for the same period.
2. Vista
Vista Group International, the NZX listed cinema management software, film distribution software and customer analytics business, holds its annual general meeting today at 9.30am at the Event Cinemas gold class section, 291-297 Queen St, Auckland.
3. Tower
Tower's first-half result will be out this morning around 8.30am. This is for the half year rended March 31, 2016. Investors and analysts will speak to chairman Michael Stiassny, chief executive officer Richard Harding and chief financial officer Brett Wilson.
4. Australia
Glenn Stevens, the Reserve Bank of Australia governor, will give an address today.
5. United States
How's the residential property market state-side? Data will be released from the US today on new home sales.
