Publisher HarperCollins has appointed Michael Moynahan as its new CEO for Australia and New Zealand.
Moynahan is currently in a senior management role at Random House. He will take up his post at HarperCollins in the New Year.

"HarperCollins rightly enjoys an enviable position in the market and I am looking forward to working with the team to build on a really strong base and find new opportunities to grow".
Moynahan started his publishing career with HarperCollins in New Zealand in 1988 and then moved to Random House.
HarperCollins has a staff of 300 in Australasia, printing under the brands of Angus & Robertson, Fourth Estate, Collins and Voyager. Their authors include Donna Hay, Geraldine Brookes and Peter Fitzsimmons.
