The New Zealand Herald is showcasing its premier business reporting team with a marketing campaign starting today.
As previously announced NZME is boosting its business coverage, with an expanded team of journalists, writers and columnists set to deliver even more exclusive business news, insightful analysis and opinion.
New names includesenior journalist Kate MacNamara, feature writer Jane Phare and Herald court reporter Sam Hurley. New columnists include former finance minister Steven Joyce and entrepreneurs Ben Kepes and Cecilia Robinson. More announcements are expected soon.
Duncan joined NZME in 2018 after nearly 17 years at the National Business Review where he was editor of both print and online publications. Duncan has won several journalism awards, including Best Business columnist in 2017 and Best Business reporter at the 2014 Canon Media Awards. After reporting substantially on Feltex Carpets in the lead up to its collapse in 2006, Duncan was at the forefront of financial reporting of the finance company meltdown that preceded the global financial crisis.

Grant Bradley Deputy Business Editor
Grant has worked in a number of senior news roles at the New Zealand Herald for nearly 30 years, including 13 years in the Business Herald where he is deputy editor. A Harry Brittain fellow in 1995, Grant has also won Australasian Aviation Press Club awards for reporting on the airline industry.
Fran is a prominent columnist for the New Zealand Herald writing on business, politics and international trade and is Head of Business Content for NZME. She launched the influential Mood of the Boardroom CEO Survey, which is the leading barometer of business leadership opinion in New Zealand, and is a frequent television commentator. She is a three-time winner of the Supreme Award for Financial Journalism, has twice been awarded Reporter of the Year among a slew of awards for investigative journalism, business columns, foreign affairs and feature writing. She was made an officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2019 for services to journalism and business.

Liam Dann Business Editor at Large
Liam has been a journalist for 25 years, covering business and economics for the past 20. Previously he worked in the finance sector in London and travelled extensively. He was business editor for eight years - taking on the role as the global financial crisis unfolded in late 2007. Now as Business Editor at Large he writes opinion, commentary and features covering markets, economics and politics. He is also host of the regular video shows such as Economy Hub and Market Watch.

Tamsyn Parker Personal Finance Editor
Tamsyn has been a business journalist with the New Zealand Herald since 2007 and the money editor since 2014. She covers banking and finance and delves into the impact this has on people's personal lives. Tamsyn has been a journalist for nearly 20 years and has previously worked in the United Kingdom where she wrote about investment products for financial advisers and for the National Business Review in New Zealand where she wrote about property.

Damien Venuto Digital Business Editor
Damien is an award-winning writer and editor, currently working as the online business editor at the NZ Herald. He first joined the team in 2017, off the back of winning the Supreme Editor of the Year Award at the 2017 Magazine Publishers Association Awards for his work with NZ Marketing magazine. With a keen interest in the media, marketing and advertising sectors, Damien's writing often looks at the impact of creativity on business.
