The company could not confirm when it would be making a decision on whether to keep the all-day breakfast, although it had previously launched this in New Zealand several years ago but with limited success.
Kenny said there were other considerations as well, saying that McDonald's had committed to using 100 per cent free range eggs by the end of 2016, something he said would need to be looked at if it was to extend its all-day breakfast.
The company has also been trialling gourmet breakfast options in its renovated Greenlane restaurant, including cafe-style breakfast like Belgian waffles and avocado smash.
The latest Create Your Taste service had also been well received, offering customers the chance to create their own gourmet burger from more than 32 ingredients using a digital kiosk, which is then made fresh in the open kitchen and delivered to the customer via table service.
All-day breakfast rolled out across Australia early in December and its US branch said the launch of this in the States combined with unseasonably warm weather had helped lift sales by 5.7 per cent in the last three months of the year.
Kenny said McDonald's New Zealand had been closely monitoring the trial.
