'Fudge' off to watchdog

NZ Farmings Systems Uruguay has been referred to the securities regulator after the phrase "fudge this" was included in its financial statements for the year to June 30.

The company filed the accounts last month with the comment, and later refiled them with an explanation that it was a typographical error and its statements were accurate.

NZX, which operates the stock exchange, said the matter was worthy of referral to the Securities Commission.
