Unitec Head of Computing Hossein Sarrafzadeh is joined us today to answer your questions about the risks and threats of cyber crime and the best ways to protect yourself against them.
Professor Sarrafzadeh has a PhD in Computing, and over 17 years of academic and industrial experience in the area of computational intelligence. He is an experienced academic, established researcher and academic leader.
He has also led the establishment of New Zealand's first cyber security research centre in partnership with the National Information and Communications Technology of Japan.
In recent years, Professor Sarrafzadeh has developed one of the world's first real-time facial expression and gesture recognition systems.
Professor Sarrafzadeh will be joined by Dr Hinne Hettema, who is the IT Security Team lead at the University of Auckland and teaches cyber security at Unitec.
