Kiwifruit company reports boost

NZAX-listed Kiwifruit post-harvest operator Satara has reported a half-year net surplus of just over $900,000.

The result shows a net surplus after tax to June 30 of $904,428 on revenue of $34,617,850, well ahead of the surplus of $137,061 for the same period last year.

Satara is now expected to make a full-year profit of $4 million, before rebates and tax, substantially ahead of last year's profit of $1.9 million.
