Kiwibank customers left frustrated amid internet banking issues

Some Kiwibank customers are experiencing issues with their app and internet banking.

Kiwibank customers have been left frustrated this morning after experiencing issues with the bank’s app and internet banking services.

Kiwibank said on Facebook it was currently looking into the issue.

“Some of our customers are having trouble accessing their Kiwibank App and internet banking,” the post read.

“Apologies for the disruption – we know it’s not ideal for your Wednesday morning. Your cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and ATMs are still working.”

According to Kiwibank’s website, no scheduled maintenance has been planned for today.

A spike in those reporting issues with Kiwibank’s online services on Downdetector occurred after 9am, with more than 690 reports.

One frustrated customer took to social media to say: “I’ve got bills I need to transfer to the right accounts.”

Another said: “Asap please! I have a very very important business transaction to make!”

“This is soo annoyign! [sic] I rely on my app to bank daily. I cant even book a uber because i need to transfer and calling is just another hassle of waiting,” a third person said.
