Kinloch growth plan

A variation to the proposed Taupo District Plan will address growth and development in the Kinloch area.

The Kinloch Community Structure Plan was adopted by the council in 2004 and provides a strategy for future growth in the area, including subdivision, development and infrastructure.

Aspects of the plan will be incorporated into the proposed Taupo District Plan.

Environmental Policy manager Carina Jonsson said by including features of the Structure Plan into the District Plan there will be stronger guidance for future planning and growth in the area.

She said council's aim is to protect Kinloch and manage the development of the surrounding area.
