When you travel the world many people decide on Airbnb as a way to travel comfortably.

After your long 28-hour flight you want to click your fingers and be whisked away to your cosy Airbnb bed.

So it's not often you come across the opportunity to go back in time before Jesus was born and experience what life was like living in 6200BC.

But a trip back to the dark ages is what is on offer at this Airbnb in Bulgaria.

One man has listed an entire Neolithic 6200BC village to rent. It can fit a total of 16 guests, and contains three bedrooms and 16 beds.

"It is a Neolithic village built few years ago to recreates the ambiance of the Neolithic era. Guys, there is no electricity and no Wi-Fi. It is a true 8000 years ago experience - exclusive, non-conventional. For those of you who really love to explore strange, sometimes weird places," Grigor Daulov says in his listing.

"50 years ago an ancient Neolithic Village had been discovered at the territory of our Municipality. Few years ago we have restored the historical findings and built a Neolithic Village which recreates the ambiance of the Neolithic era (6200 BC). We'd love to host you and show the Nature wonders around and the Historical sights. Welcome to Chavdar Municipality in Bulgaria."

Grigor's home is located in Chavdar Village, Chavdar, Bulgaria.

Next door is the museum, St Petka Chapel which hosts more than 30 Neolithic artefacts.

The Village also neighbours a large forest with a traditional Bulgarian restaurant just a minute's walk away.

For sports lovers, a climbing obstacle course is on offer with spectacular views of the horizon when you reach the top.

The "nature wonder" of the Kazantie Waterfall is also nearby, providing a beautiful natural swimming hole.

To step back in time, it'll cost you just £7 (NZ$13.50) each person per night.

"The feeling and the experience is like going back in time 8000 years," Grigor says.

He says the best time to visit is between April and August.
