Earlier this year Burger King's attempt to launch a new product fell spectacularly flat.
It had taken the fast food giant 62 years to launch a hot dog, and they even enlisted the help of Snoop Dogg to promote it.
But the "flame grilled" snack ended up a whopper ofan embarrassment, with one underwhelmed customer posting an image of the dismal dish he was served on social media:
In further proof that poor Burger King just can't catch a break, last month employees at a Minnesota branch fell victim to a prank caller who told them to smash the restaurant windows to keep it from exploding.
"The manager explained they'd received a phone call from a male who identified himself as a fireman who said there were dangerous levels of gas in the building and they had to break out all the windows to keep the building from blowing up," Sergeant Rick Boone told the Star Tribune.
The window damage there was estimated at $US10,000 ($13,325). Oops.
And in January, a Burger King employee quickly became an internet hero after a hilarious tweet about his supposed last day on the job went viral. John Correa, an 18-year-old from Florida, tweeted a picture of two giant bags of uncooked chicken nuggets lovingly strapped up in his car.
The company has launched a new addition to its menu and while it has many scratching their heads, one thing's for sure - it's a first.
It reckons it has created the ultimate dining combination, by rolling out an in-store spa and sauna for a more unique experience the next time you have the munchies.
Currently only available at the Mannerheimintie branch of Burger King in Helsinki, customers can chow down on their meals - hopefully while covered with a robe - in the 15-person sauna while watching TV or playing video games. Even better, is the food is delivered to you by staff.
There will also be a shower and locker room.

While it may seem like a strange idea, it's actually rather genius in Finland, a nation where one in three people has a sauna.
The idea has already attracted praise, with Euromonitor calling it "a powerful example of localisation" and issuing designer Teuvo Loman with an award for New Concepts in Food Service.
So would you be up for it? We reckon it would definitely be worth travelling there to check it out.
