Investment funds up

New Zealand investment funds had their biggest inflow of money for three years in the first quarter, a situation that was expected to continue, a survey released yesterday showed.

New Zealand managed funds had a net inflow of $90 million for the three months through March, the second consecutive quarterly gain, research group FundSource said.

The fourth quarter last year had a net gain of just $4.5 million, the first increase in nearly three years.
