"We are getting down to crunch time now so I was on the phone through the night to an interested party in Switzerland," McKee said.
""We have also had strong interest from a small group of local families who would buy it as a syndicate and have it for their own personal use."
McKee said the highest level of interest was from those wanting to buy it "because they love it" but who would also continue owning it as a business.
The campground business was a virtual "turn-key" operation, McKee said.
It has 200 camping sites - powered and unpowered - seven cabins that can sleep up to six people each and two architecturally designed, 5-star rated luxury beach houses, with plans for 10 more.
McKee said there was room to expand the luxury cabin side of the business which would extend the lucrative holiday season.
"The place is remarkable in winter but that's not camping weather," McKee said.
The property has riparian rights, which means that the beach will belong to the new owners.
It is close to numerous walking tracks and natural beauty spots, including Te Anaroa Caves, Te Waikoropupu springs, Kahurangi National Park, Heaphy Track and Abel Tasman National Park.
It is within walking distance of one of New Zealand's most famous pubs, The Mussel Inn, home of Captain Cooker manuka beer.
Offers on the property close at 4pm, Friday December 2.
